About Me
About Me
I live in Brooklyn, New York with my girlfriend and our dog. I love hockey, all types of design, mechanical engineering, transportation, and modern history. I am pretty opinionated about design, policy, art, and hockey. In my free time I enjoy making things like RC cars, robots, and music (and watching hockey).
I value design that is considerate, intentional, and unobtrusive, but still allows people to use it in new ways that we as designers may not have intended, but can learn from.
My background is in industrial design. I switched from engineering to design after my first year of college because I was good at visualizing things but bad at math.
Goal
My goal is to design products that make people’s lives better.
Experience
Product Designer | March 2022 - Present
I work with a team of health care experts, product owners, engineers, and other designers to produce tools that enable health care professionals to connect their patients with the help they need.
UI/UX Designer | September 2021 - December 2021
I worked on a tool that helps people de-clutter their browser tabs and keep track of their web-based research projects. This included building out a design system, addressing feedback directly from early users, and ideating on the future of the product.
Product Designer | January 2016 – April 2021
I used my skills in user experience design to create new platforms and web applications for Tallwave’s clients. I worked directly with project managers, other designers, and developers to meet our clients’ objectives as well as shape their creative vision. I have worked with a range of clients from mature companies with large platforms to small start-ups focused on new concepts. Industries included financial technology, insurance, health, and wellness.
Design Intern | September 2015 – December 2015
I learned the fundamental skills and techniques to transition from industrial to digital design. I assisted with internal design assets and helped with company events. I also interacted directly with clients, other designers, and managers by participating in ideation workshops.
Marketing Content Designer | August 2014 – January 2015
I worked with writers and marketing leadership to produce content to position CampusLogic as a thought leader in the industry of SaaS for universities. I worked directly with developers to produce landing pages and marketing micro sites to generate leads for the sales team.
